Big Money, No Whammy!
Ads for the Microsoft Surface are now up in several major US cities, including NY, LA, SF, and Chicago. The timing of these ads is interesting, because if you were to see one of these ads and later follow up by going to the website, all you’d see is a photo of one and that it’s “Coming Soon”. That’s really about all you’ll find. This has to be confusing to people, right? Even Google, upon announcing the Nexus 7, had a complete product website available with several pages of production information, tech specs, pricing, and a link to buy one. (And we know how Apple rolls.)
We do know, somewhat vaguely, that it’s going on sale two weeks from tomorrow at midnight (LOL!) in Microsoft stores. But we really have NO IDEA how much it will cost. (Between $300-$900 is not useful.)
I wonder, is there a precedent for this? I can’t think of anything.
