Will Apple Be the First to Break $1 Trillion?
I typically don’t care for articles like this, but this quote was sensible:
“When Microsoft peaked in 2000, it had 20 years running the PC revolution. We’re essentially only five years into the smartphone revolution,”
And there is some more reasonable commentary in the paragraphs that follow. I think society in general underestimates the size and scope of the mobile computing devices market that Apple is leading.
Also, I simply do not get how people can compare Microsoft’s peak market cap and Apple’s. Microsoft at its peak had a P/E in the low 30’s. That’s double Apple’s multiple today.
